Bao Loc - the Capital of Silk in Vietnam

Behind the Viet Nam Silk Story: Princess Thieu Hoa started her sericulture work in the VIth Hung Vuong King.
During the Ly, Tran, Ho Dynasties (nearly 4 centuries), silk weaving production was developed to meet garment demand of dynasty family as well as civilian.
1965: The Japanese government grants 10 million USD to research and develop mulberry cultivation for sericulture.
Bao Loc: best soil and weather for mulberry cultivation.



After 1965: The War happened all the time, the investment from Japan was therefore disrupted
1966: The Japanese got back to invest in Bao Loc.
Matsumura Company sent experts to Vietnam for researching, investing, cooperating purposes, and finally equipping Silk Viet Nam Production Limited
